Urasenke Tankokai Los Angeles Association celebrated a Halloween-themed chakai on Sunday October 27 at Shoseian in Glendale. It was organized by the Youth/English Speaking members to introduce Urasenke Tradition to young people and the English-speaking community. Mme. Mari Robinson, Mrs. Miho Blumkin, Mrs. Michelle Liu Carriger, Mme. Keiko Nakada participated as Shokyoku in several seatings.
The sweets by Fugetsudo in Little Tokyo shaped like persimmons were served and a wide variety of dougu were selected for this event.

“​Ghost Whisperer” is used as the name of Chashaku.
Youth/ESS Representatives from different shahu included Mr. Wayu Kennedy, Mr. Patrick Duffey, Mr. Mark Umbriaco, Ms. Yasmin Elming,
Ms. Mika Sumida, Ms. Karen Ishii, Mr. Eric Zhu, and Ms. Lou Lou. The group performed Nakaoki usucha demai.
